The motor is the heart of a machine. Having a high quality "heart" is an important prerequisite for the operation of machines. Let's talk about industrial motors today.

There is a saying that the invention of motors is one of the most important inventions in the history of human progress, it knocked the door of second industrial revolution by improving generation efficiency and making long distance distribution of electricity possible.

There are more than thirty types of motors which are widely used in industrial applications, .these two motor classifications are most popular--- AC motors and DC motors. Shaded pole motor is an AC motor and stepper motor is DC motor.

What's the difference between them?

A shaded pole motor is a small AC single phase induction motor. AC --- abbreviation of alternating current, it means the electric current has periodical alternates in the direction and magnitude. AC shaded pole motor is used to implement the AC power and mechanical energy conversion. Shading coil plays a key role. This shading-coil arrangement displaces the axis of the shaded poles from the axis of the main poles. In other words the current flow of AC power changes the direction.

Main applications of shaded pole motor: Heaters, vent fans, fans, mosquito-trapping machines, massage chairs and other household appliances. shaded pole motor has the futures of low noise, long service life, thermal overload protection and high level protection.

A stepper motor is a type of DC rotating motors which works in discrete steps and converts DC energy into mechanical energy or mechanical energy into DC energy. DC --- direct current or constant current, it has constant voltage or current. The  flow of DC power only flows directly according to one direction. it never changes direction. This is one of the biggest differences between AC and DC power.

Stepper motors have 2-phase and 3-phase series, the working principle is using electronic circuits, the component, multi-phase timing control current, stepper motor works properly. There are many types of stepper motors, including variable reluctance (VR) stepper motor, permanent magnet (PM) stepper motor, hybrid stepper motor, etc. They are manufactured using high temperature permanent magnets and high-quality cold rolling steel sheets, with product specifications ranging 41-282mm. The products are of low noise, low vibration, low heat, high reliability and stability. Their good damping as well as smooth operation without significant vibration zone can meet different conditions of use in the automation industry.
